As a bridge between modern clinical nursing and holistic spiritual practices, my passion is to hold sacred space and guidance for families in remembering their inner magic while healing from within, consciously conceiving, bringing forth life, and nourishing their babies

 

ABOUT ME

  • I’m from Rhode Island but have lived on St John in the US Virgin Islands for 23 years with my husband Galen and my daughter, Violet Sky. As a nurse, I specialized in holistic maternal/child health.

    Then I had 10+ years in private practice with Inner Waves Integrative Health, my precious business! I did therapeutic massage & bodywork, yoga, health coaching, birth & breastfeeding support, and well-being services.

    Now, all of my offers are specialized around the perinatal care process. Pregnancy, Birth & Breastfeeding experiences are where my main mission’s at right now.

    • is full of outdoor adventure! Hiking, camping, yoga and epic SURF, off the beaten path. I prefer eco friendly destinations and love to explore, honor and learn from different cultures while making meaningful global friendships and connections.

MY STORY,

MY WHY

I was a curious, medically-intuitive child.

…tearing through medical encyclopedias as soon as I could read,

…accurately picking up on the sources & symptoms of family members’ emotions & diseases,

…& becoming a jack-of-all-trades in holistic nursing…

Before I even consciously knew this was what I am meant and love to do, my intuition knew.

This intense desire to help others heal grew exponentially as I got older.

I went to university and studied psychology and nursing. I then went on to study holistic healing, and integrative health. I have a curious drive for learning all aspects/modalities of healing and putting them into practice.

In nursing school, all my projects were on holistic health — yoga, reiki, meditation, mother/baby massage, nutrition, ayurveda, you name it!

I managed my own private holistic health practice, Inner Waves Integrative Health, for a decade. That experience — and the rebirth that’s come from it — is an integral part of who I am now in this phase of my life and this business.

I currently live on St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, with my husband and daughter but make frequent trips to Rhode Island to be with family.

After the traumatic birth of my daughter Violet Sky, I had an incredible drive to hold sacred space and support for this transformational experience. I wanted to give others in my community what wasn't available to me or any other families at the time.

I became a one-stop-shop on the island for all things holistic pregnancy, birth and beyond!

My wide-reaching toolbox has grown partly out of my own nature, being a lifelong learner — and partly out of a need within my community. On St. John, I am one of only a handful of specialists providing integrative services for perinatal support, bodywork, education & clinical lactation care. This has me constantly evolving my techniques & experience…which comes naturally to my curious, wisdom-seeking spirit!
